Alltså knas knas knas…

Ett riksdagsseminarium om kvinnors diskriminering på internationell nivå av initiativtagarna Amineh Kakabaveh och Robert Hannah i onsdags upplevdes mer som ”Klubben för inbördes beundran” och avslutades mer som en tjattrande ”hönsgård” av de politiska representanter som närvarade, istället för att adressera frågeställningen och komma med konkreta förslag på lösningar av det viktiga arbetet om kvinnors förtryck.

Vad är det för företrädare vi har? Vart går våra skattepengar egentligen?

Fyra fantastiska kvinnor delade med sig av sin utsatthet och fruktansvärda upplevelser medans representanter från Moderaterna, Liberalerna, Centern och initiativtagaren AK satt och såg viktiga ut i publiken innan dem själva skulle inta panelen. Med viktiga menar jag upptagna med dator, mobil och viskande samtal. Jag råkade sitta i närheten av tre och uppfattade/såg att de kollade Instagram, kommenterade bilder och viskade.

Jag undrade på riktigt om de överhuvudtaget lyssnade på de hjärtskärande berättelserna om kvinnors förtryck i världen.

Hyresgäst

När de sedan skulle upp i panelen var det ingen som återkopplade på någon av tjejernas berättelse alls men den dramatiska moderaten utmärkte sig när han inleder med att tjejerna inte är de enda utsatta och visade upp två bilder på sin vackra mamma, före och efter revolutionen i Iran, som anledning till att han var på plats, eftersom han minsann älskar lilla mamma mest av allt då han var hennes hyresgäst i nio månader.

På andra plats kom Centern som lyfte Januariavtalet som någonting positivt då två av de 73 punkter i avtalet vänder sig just till hedersförtryck men nämner inte hyresregleringen som innebär att utsatta människor blir utan hem i Sverige idag. Undrar om han ser sambandet?!

De andra två hade fullt upp med att ge varandra beröm för deras engagemang i politiken, då den ena blivit förvånansvärt nog utesluten ur sitt parti men Liberalen hade i alla fall vett att tacka för deltagarnas historier och närvaro och då var det som att de andra blev påkomna och ville tacka dem också och började rycka i mikrofonen.

Som ni märker nämner jag inga namn då ingen av dem presenterade sig i panelen heller, ungefär som om att det var självklart att alla närvarande skulle veta vilka de är. Jag hade inte en aning om vilka de var och har givetvis frågat sällskapet som bjöd in mig till eventet, som heller inte hade en aning om deras namn eller uppdrag. Självklart har jag kollat upp det men då jag inte funnit moderatens namn någonstans väljer jag medvetet att utelämna de andra.

Kontentan är att dem har fel fokus

Jorden kretsar kring solens axel, inte deras axlar.

Polariseringen som pågår hotar demokratin och medmänskliga rättigheter både nationellt och på global nivå, om vi inte börjar samarbeta på gräsrotsnivå över gränser mot alla former av våldsbejakande extremism, finner vi facit i historien, gång på gång.

När ska vi lära oss?

Har jag då lösningen?

Nej, den måste vi finna tillsammans som en enad trupp i demokratin med tålamod, kunskap, förståelse och engagemang med medmänskliga värdegrunder som utgångspunkt.

A parliamentary seminar on women’s discrimination at international level by the promoters Amineh Kakabaveh and Robert Hannah on Wednesday (in Sweden) was perceived more as the “Club for mutual admiration” and ended more as a chirping “chicken farm” by the political representatives present, instead of addressing the issue and making concrete statements suggestions for solutions to the important work on women’s oppression.

What kind of representatives do we have? Where does our tax money really go?

Four amazing women shared their vulnerability and terrible experiences while representatives from the Moderats, Liberals, the Center and the promoter AK sat and looked important in the audience before taking the panel themselves. By important I mean busy with computer, mobile and whispering calls. I happened to sit near three and noticed / saw that they checked Instagram, commented on photos and whispered.

I really wondered if they were listening to the heartbreaking stories of women’s oppression in the world at all.

Tenant

When they were then brought up in the panel, no one gave feedback on any of the girls’ story at all, but the dramatic moderat distinguished himself when he starts with, that the girls are not the only ones exposed and showed two pictures of his beautiful mother, before and after the revolution in Iran, as reason he was there, because he really loves little mom most of all, hence he was her tenant for nine months.

In second place came the Center, which lifted the January agreement as something positive, as two of the 73 points in the agreement specifically address the repression but does not mention the rent regulation which means that vulnerable people will be without a home in Sweden today. Wonder if he sees the connection?!

The other two had full praise for each other for their involvement in politics, specially since one was surprisingly excluded from her party, but the Liberal had at least sense to thanking for the participants’ stories and presence and then it was as if the others was caught and wanted to thank them as well and started tugging on the microphone.

As you notice, I do not mention any names as none of them presented themselves in the panel either, almost as if it were obvious that everyone present would know who they are. I had no idea who they were and of course asked the companion who invited me to the event, who also had no idea of ​​their name or mission. Of course I have looked it up but since I have not found the moderat’s name anywhere, I consciously choose to omit the others.

The bottom line is that they have the wrong focus

The polarisation that is underway threatens democracy and human rights both nationally and globally, if we do not start cooperating at grassroots level across borders against all forms of violent extremism, we find the result in history, time and time again.

When will we learn?

Do I have the solution?

No, we must find it together as a united force in democracy, with patience, understanding, knowledge and commitment with human values ​​as a starting point.
