” My story is a painful story. I live in a country where there is no freedom of expression or freedom to protest every day. I ask myself how can I make society in my country express his vision and live democracy, but my country has been suffering from wars for 9 years and we have not been able to have the simplest elements of life, but I have great hope that  My country will be a better place to live in. I am a university student in my first year, and in light of all these tragic circumstances, I am still moving and I encourage my colleagues in college to practice democracy in their lives and in the university, even slightly.  I am Walsh  A door in my country for democracy, so we wish success in our battle against evil.

We want a happy world and a happy life and to live in peace without any fanaticism or extremism We just want the religion of humanity and the culture of humanity.”

This week I was watching the movie Vice and I became frighteningly aware of what mad-power can do globally and how one individual with undemocratic values can affect a whole world.

Christian Bale plays George W. Bush’s Vice President Dick Cheney. Richard Bruce Cheney has been cited as the most powerful vice president in American history. In the movie it appears that those who work with Cheney want to protest against his leadership, but for some reason they don´t.

We must not let the story repeat itself, but we do it over and over again. We are educated about the Second World War, but we do not need to back 79 years, until 1939, to learn about power-mad and undemocratic leaders. It is important that we compare the consequences of the Second World War with what is happening in the present.

I recommend you to watch the movie Vice.

I veckan var jag och tittade på filmen Vice och jag blev skrämmande medveten om vad makten kan ställa till med globalt. Hur en enskild person med odemokratiska värderingar kan påverka en hel värld.

Christian Bale spelar George W. Bushs vicepresident Dick Cheney. Richard Bruce Cheney säger man var den mäktigaste vicepresidenten i amerikansk historia. I filmen framgår det att de som arbetar med Cheney vill protestera mot hans ledarskap men gör inte det av någon anledning.

Vi får inte låta historien upprepa sig, men vi gör det om och om igen. I skolan fokuserar man på andra världskriget, men vi behöver inte backa 79 år, till 1939, för att lära om maktgalna och odemokratiska ledare. Det är viktigt att vi jämför andra världskrigets konsekvenser med det som sker i nutid.

Jag rekommenderar er att se filmen Vice.
